Why does Chapters Financial have an Investment House View?

16 April 2024

Discussing with clients and prospects their attitude to investment risk, and indeed capacity for loss, is vital as part of the financial advice process when investing funds into plans such as ISAs and pensions, existing and new.

The views of the client and investment market conditions usually evolve over time, and it is important to keep any past arrangements under review to ensure that they continue to meet the client's needs. A good example might be the transition from working to retiring where personal circumstances may well have a profound effect on needs and objectives into the future. Some of the factors that a client may want to consider may be found here: https://www.chaptersfinancial.com/private-clients/investment-planning

We maintain an Investment Risk Scale that many clients find helpful, and this may be found on our website here: Investment risk scale

Markets, and market conditions of course also change over time and having a house view, prepared and reviewed by our Investment Committee (in conjunction with an independent external consultant we have used for 15+ years) on a regular basis, is important to allow us to provide clients with advice and guidance when making investment decisions.

One thing that is clear is that clients' lives, the political environment, world economies and investment markets do not stand still. Our ever-evolving Investment House View helps the team at Chapters Financial in Guildford keep an up-to-date focus on market conditions as they evolve.

For clients, it is important to keep up to date on a regular basis, which is recommended when considering your overall financial planning and your specific plans, such as pensions, ISAs, investment bonds and the like.

With the new tax year upon us, please do take time to review your arrangements as we head towards the summer.

No individual advice is provided during the course of this blog.
