Celebrating 20 years of financial planning

01 October 2024

The very beginning of October 2024 will see Chapters Financial celebrate 20 years of financial planning from Guildford. A major milestone, I am sure you would agree.

Starting in October 2004, it's been a great experience, although not without its ups and downs (a recession or two and a pandemic as noteworthy candidates). The ups have been fantastic, the downs have provided valuable experience, and please forgive me as I reminisce a while.

We've had a couple of office moves from our original suite in Alexandra Terrace in Guildford (now a hotel), to our office in the upper High Street, to the current ground floor office at Shaw House in Tunsgate, overlooking the Castle. Many clients and contacts were relieved that they no longer had to climb the stairs at Hadleigh House, or indeed walk the full length of the High Street! We had a name change in 2012 and were very pleased to secure Chapters Financial as a trademark at that time. Personally, I prefer the current name to the original.

Chapters Financial achieved Chartered status from the Chartered Insurance Institute in June 2012, a pleasing recognition of our commitment to the highest professional standards, and a title our company has retained ever since. We are pleased to have maintained our independent status through both decades of our advisory services and we look ahead on this basis.

Thank you to all of our team members, both current and past, for all their help in allowing us to build the business to its current position, and we now look forward to the next decade ahead and all that it has to offer as we move into a different economic era, both in the UK and globally.

We are also very conscious that Chapters Financial would not exist without the support of the community that we serve. As part of the Guildford and Surrey community, it has been enjoyable to support many varied local organisations throughout the years with both funding and resources, almost from the start.

The most important 'thank you' must go to our clients and supporters over the years, many of whom have been with us since the start. We look forward to continuing to work with you into the future and send our sincere thanks.

Speak to you soon.
